Restaurant Brokers Named Top Producers at Annual Conference

Despite a global pandemic, half a dozen Restaurant Brokers at We Sell Restaurants sold more than a million dollars in restaurants in 2020 as well as the multi-million dollar mark. Attendees were also honored for their 2019 performance with six brokers hitting million dollar status and half that number achieving the multi-million dollar mark for the year.

We Sell Restaurants recognized their achievements from 2019 and 2020 at their Annual Franchise Conference, held in Palm Coast, Florida last month.

The We Sell Restaurants top producers are among the few business brokers in the nation specialized in selling restaurants. They have undergone extensive training to become Certified Restaurant Brokers. They hone their unique skills with coursework, practicums and testing in restaurant brokerage before launching their practice. The annual awards program for achieving top results recognizes their expertise and continued success in restaurant sales.

KEN EISENBAND, the franchise partner and Certified Restaurant Broker in south Florida achieved Multi-Million Dollar status for 2019 and Million Dollar status for 2020. As a member of the Business Brokers of Florida, he has also been named the Million Dollar Club of the BBF for multiple years. He has also received the prestigious Dealmaker Award and was named Co-Broker of the year by the BBF. Ken is the treasurer of the Restaurant Vendors Association in South Florida. He graduated with honors from the School of Hospitality at Michigan State University.

Certified Restaurant Broker CHRIS GORDON has over two decades of experience in the restaurant industry. He was recognized for more than a million dollars in deals for both 2019 and 2020. Chris has experience in every aspect of the business. He grew through the ranks of restaurant operations in roles that ranged from back of the house to corporate trainer to restaurant owner.

Denver Colorado franchise partner JOHN JORDAN received the Franchising Gives Back Award for 2020. His charitable leadership for the year included a program to provide gas for medical professionals during the COVID crisis and filling a transfer truck with supplies for flood ravaged Texas.  Before buying the first We Sell Restaurants franchise, John served as Director of Operations for Ruby Tuesday, Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with operational positions ranging from manager to owner.  John is a member of the Colorado Association of Business Intermediaries.

JEFF MARCUS, the franchise partner for Boulder Colorado and parts of Wyoming achieved multi-million-dollar status in 2019 and more than a million dollars in sales in 2020. Prior to joining We Sell Restaurants and becoming a Certified Restaurant Broker, Jeff had 30 years of industry experience. He also owned and operated a third-party delivery and online ordering site for restaurants. He studied Business Management at Colorado State University.

We Sell Restaurants Franchise Partner SCOTT RUBY is based in the Minneapolis St. Paul market. He was awarded million dollar status for 2019. He has extensive experience in the restaurant industry, including the food and beverage industry of Vegas. Scott is a member of the hospitality and restaurant industry organization, Hospitality Minnesota.

JUSTIN SCOTTO, Franchise Partner and Certified Restaurant Broker for the Charlotte North Carolina market and parts of South Carolina achieved multi-million dollar status in 2020. He is a veteran of the restaurant industry with 20 years of experience, including seven years on the Firehouse Subs Marketing Board of Directors. Justin is a member of the International Business Broker Association and Carolinas-Virginia Business Brokers Association. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Certified Restaurant Broker, STEVE WEINBAUM, achieved multi-million dollar status in 2019 and sold more than a million dollars in 2020. Steve is an experienced broker licensed in both Florida and Georgia. He has over 30 years of experience in business and contract negotiations.

We Sell Restaurants Franchise Partner, DAVE WHITCOMB, achieved more than a million dollars in sales for both 2019 and 2020. Dave is the Franchise Partner and Certified Restaurant Broker for Lee and Collier Counties in Florida. He is licensed by the Florida Real Estate Commission. His industry knowledge spans multiple roles. Dave graduated with Honors from Johnson & Wales University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Service Management.

Overall, We Sell Restaurants achieved unmatched results in 2020. According to industry data published through the BizBuySell Insight report, the number of small businesses reported sold in 2020 dropped 22% compared to 2019. In their words, “this was the largest year-over-year drop since 2009 at the start of the Great Recession when transactions dropped 28%.
