Restaurant Brokers Take Food & Wine Quiz, Discuss Food Markets

Atlanta restaurant brokers take Food & Wine Quiz in this Week's show.  They also discuss the need for a European Food Market in Atlanta, a major city without one.

Atlanta restaurant brokers Eric and Robin Gagnon discuss the Food and Wine magazine Quiz, the benefits of using a broker for a deal (even when We Sell Restaurants doesn't represent the listing) and tell the Atlanta market (and Donna from The Donna Show) why Atlanta needs a European style food market headlined by a major chef.

Eric starts the segment by describing calls from buyers that love the information the restaurant broker team shares on the show but wants to know what to do if We Sell Restaurants doesn't have the listing.  Eric and Robin Gagnon destroy the myth that buyers can only use their services if they represent the listings.  According to Eric, buyer representation is an important part of our efforts.  We Sell Restaurants works closely with every broker in town to understand what they have for sale and can work with buyers to represent other firm's listings.  This allows buyers to leverage expertise and knowledge to help in buying a restaurant.  He also reminds restaurant buyers that without representation, you're at the mercy of the landlord's rep who is working on the interests of the landlord, not the tenant.

The team congratulates the Will family who has taken over The Derby and they are now in construction on their fifth location.  They will soon be going into the old Tijuana Flats space in Roswell as a Derby Sports Bar (Irish Sports Bar).

A reminder to join We Sell Restaurants and Donna at The Sysco Food Show.  Giveaways for Sysco reps, giveaway for restaurant owners. The team will pick a lucky name to come onto The Donna Show.

Lastly, Robin broaches the need for a European Food Court similar to the ones highlighted in a recent edition of Restaurant News.  Established in major cities across Europe and the U.S. this is an upscale food court, that combines a market, demonstration stage, as well as take home product.  It's a chef driven food environment and Todd English has launched several in major cities.  The food court features separate venues like seafood, a bakery, sushi and more so visitor can sit, eat, and have a experience in an upscale environment.  Robin has a perfect location in Atlanta for this and anyone interested needs to give her a call.

Lastly, the team has multiple opportunities for sale under $50,000.00
